Guess what!? We already have 46 students that have registered online at home for the Heart Challenge!! And numerous others that have brought in their vouchers having raised $5.00!! We have already raised over $2,500!!!

We are now working to get AT LEAST 50% OF ALL STUDENTS registered online. If we can do this our school gets FREE PE EQUIPMENT from the Hillsborough School District. You do not have to raise money to be registered online. You just log on using the instructions in your packet and thru this site can learn tips and tricks to stay healthy. And you can send out links/emails to family and friends to ask them for their help in completing our goal!

We have a goal to raise $5,000 and we believe we can meet and exceed this seeing how amazing our team is doing so far. Keep up the good work guys!!

Thursday, November 1st is our annual school-wide Diwali celebration starting at 12.30 pm for grades K-2, and 1:30 for grades 3-5. Dr. Riveiro has waived the uniform policy for all students wishing to wear Indian traditional attire for Thursday, November 1st. If your child does not wear Indian attire, they should be dressed in the school uniform.
If you would like to help with the celebration. Please click on the button below to view the online sign up sheet.
This art and poem contest is sponsored and judged by the City of Tampa Department of
Waste & Environmental Program Management. This opportunity is available
for 3rd - 5th grade students, and specifically only those who attend Tampa
schools. The entry deadline for the contest is December 1st, and students would
be submitting their art or poem directly to Mrs. Sherrill in room 206.

Ms. Parikshak is in need of Volunteers to help with Science. Please use the attached form and send in with your child.

Hi everyone, thanks to Megan Moses we have a new marker recycling program at school in conjunction with Crayola. It’s called Crayola ColorCycle – an amazing new program devised to turn used markers into energy!

If you would like to help, please collect any used markers that are ready to be discarded, and drop them in the box outside of Miss Florio's second grade classroom. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel. This fuel can be used to power vehicles, heat homes, cook meals and more!

Thank you in advance for participating and helping to keep tons of plastic out of landfills each year!

The Hillsborough Library is promoting a Hispanic Heritage Bookmark Contest. This is a great opportunity for our K-5 students. You can download a copy of the entry form or Ms. Sherrill has copies outside of the art room.

The annual Academic Games is underway! You can donate online to MacFarlane Park PTA’s academic games fundraiser.  Please consider donating to Academic Games and sharing this link with friends and family.  We are a small public school, with many great minds to support.
